Music has always been part of my life.
Community is what gives it meaning.
I’m Bernadette Connors—an artist, facilitator, and community builder based in Hamilton, Ontario.
I grew up living above my family’s music store in Georgina, Ontario—Connors Music, which my parents opened in 1978 in Keswick. Music wasn’t something I stumbled into later in life; it was the environment I was raised in. The sound of it, the business of it, the people coming in and out of it—it shaped how I understand connection, creativity, and community.
What started as a pursuit of music has grown into something bigger: creating spaces where artists feel seen, supported, and inspired to keep going—especially in the messy middle.
THIS IS THE WORLD I’M BUILDING
